When you
install Fireworks MX, certain file types are registered to Open in
Fireworks, to use Fireworks program icons and to Edit with Fireworks. This
allows users to double-click a registered image on their system to
automatically launch Fireworks MX for image editing. This TechNote
discusses how you can change your file type associations after you have
installed Fireworks MX.
Fireworks MX registers the following
image types during the installation:
PNG
JPEG Note: You may have more
than one listing of a JPEG format on your system.
GIF

Note: Fireworks also
registers two program formats specifically for Fireworks. These are
JSF (JavsScript file) and STL ( Fireworks Style file). It does not
reset any other file types.
